CCOA Recognizes F.R.E.E. with 2026 Best Practices Award and Ceremony
The Commonwealth Council on Aging presents F.R.E.E. with 2026 Best Practices award.
“The Best Practices Awards winners and nominees represent a powerful signal of what we value as a society,” said the council’s Best Practices Awards Committee Chair Dr. Tracey Gendron.
“By elevating innovative, person-centered approaches, they not only demonstrate excellence but also set a standard that inspires others to reimagine how we support, respect, and empower older adults.”

F.R.E.E. Holds Ribbon Cutting in Smyth Co.
Rural expansion throughout Southwest Virginia aims to provide mobility for the people with the greatest vulnerability.
Support from The Wellspring Foundation and the Smyth County Community Foundation aided in providing our services to this new community.
Additional partnership with the Goodwill Industries of Tenn/VA continue to equip the circular donation lifecycle that F.R.E.E. provides through gifting gently used mobility equipment.
