Winchester, VA – The North Shenandoah Valley Chapter of F.R.E.E. gets support from the American Woodmark Foundation.

Winchester, VA - The North Shenandoah Valley Chapter of F.R.E.E. gets support from the American Woodmark Foundation. Chapter leaders were on hand with representatives of the American Woodmark Foundation to receive a check for $1,000. The funds will be used to purchase equipment that has been in short supply. Typically, F.R.E.E. receives gently used equipment donated by members of the community. On occasion, we do not receive enough of a particular type of equipment in high demand. Funding like this will help us help more people in need.

Physicians for Peace, a Chesapeake, VA-based non-profit, has donated rehab mobility equipment valued at over $60,000 to F.R.E.E. The equipment, which was sitting in a warehouse and not being used, will be gifted to adults in need in Virginia to help them regain their mobility and independence. Not only did Physicians for Peace arrange for the donation through our new South Hampton roads chapter, they even arranged for the equipment to be delivered to our SHR, Richmond and Roanoke chapter facilities free of charge. Thank you so much for this wonderful donation.
