FREE provides rehabilitation equipment to qualified adults. This equipment is specifically designed to assist in personal mobility.
All applications for equipment assistance require a physician's approval by prescription and/or letter of medical necessity. This process ensures the proper equipment is matched to the specific needs of an individual.
Our recycling program accepts donations, by the public and organizations, of gently used rehabilitation equipment. This equipment is then cleaned, repaired, and distributed to qualified individuals.

The FREE Foundation is a (501 c 3) non-profit agency, incorporated in the state of Virginia. Donations of both money and equipment are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Mission:
FREE's Mission is to help provide mobility related rehab equipment to enhance
independence and improve quality of life.
Vision:
- To assist individuals to whom this equipment is not otherwise available.
- To be a model program for all communities.
- To develop partnerships with others.
- To combine resources to maximize our ability to purchase or recycle equipment.
