Bath & Toilet Aids
Bath seats and tub benches are used in bathrooms to assist with bathing. After an injury or illness, a person may not be able to get into and out of a regular bathtub or stand long enough to complete the act of bathing.
- Bath Seats (shower chairs) fit completely in the tub. A person must have the ability to step over the edge of the tub with both legs to use this device.
- Tub benches fit halfway in and halfway out of the tub. A person can sit on the edge of a tub bench and swing the legs into the tub from a seated position, making it safer for someone with decreased balance or who has difficulty stepping into or out of the tub.
